The tequila industry has a significant impact on the environment due to the natural conditions required to harvest its agaves.
As the first tequila in history, Jose Cuervo has an inherent responsibility to drive positive change in this issue.
To create a sustainable innovation action that revolutionizes the distilled spirits industry by taking into account its natural elements such as fun, the social component and, of course, our tequila.
In the tequila distillation process, bagasse is the most abundant residue, and its disposal represents an economic and time expense.

Until recently, bagasse was just waste. Today it is the main material from which we created the first bar literally made of tequila, Jose Cuervo's Agave Bar.
Cups, straws, uniforms, bars, stage, and photo opportunities are all made from Jose Cuervo bagasse at the Agave Bar, making it one of the brand's most successful initiatives in the U.S. in recent years.

Annually and for a limited time, the Agave Bar has opened its doors in cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego and Chicago, welcoming Jose Cuervo consumers, national media, KOL's, and guests from allied brands.

Jose Cuervo, the world's first tequila continues to carry this story into the future.
