From concept to reality, we led the creative genesis of Akamba—a celebration that honors the earth, fire, and agave in the birthplace of Jose Cuervo, the first tequila in history.
Akamba means "agave" in Purépecha, honoring the Mesoamerican culture that first named this noble plant in western Mexico.
Our creative direction encompassed the strategic planning, brand identity development, experiential core design, and a storytelling framework that differentiates Akamba from any other festival in the world.
The result is a living heritage celebration that has hosted acclaimed acts like Disclosure, Sofi Tukker, Nicola Cruz, and Badbadnotgood across five editions, all set in the UNESCO World Heritage agave fields of Jalisco.
Our vision extended to creating the iconic Akamba Express journey—a train experience through the agave landscape featuring onboard DJs and specialized mixology that transforms arrival into anticipation.
Today, Akamba stands as the event that generates the highest economic revenue for the town of Tequila, Jalisco, proving that authentic cultural storytelling can create both memorable experiences and real impact.
